The story of Sézane
The Sézane adventure began in 2013 when Morgane Sézalory, its creator, decided to open an online ready-to-wear boutique. The name of her store is a contraction of her surname and first name.
The idea of opening an e-shop came to her after she created “Les Composantes” in 2008. On this website, she resold vintage clothes and accessories she had found here and there.
Whether in Sézane clothing, shoes, handbags, or other accessories, the designer expresses her taste for feminine, elegant cuts and floral tones. Among her most striking models are the Victor bag and the Abby boots.
In 2015, Sézane opened its first physical store called “L’appartement,” located in the heart of Paris in the 2nd arrondissement. Since then, the Parisian ready-to-wear brand has continued to grow, opening other boutiques in Paris and even one in New York.
How to care for your Sézane shoes?
Shoes inevitably wear out over time: damaged heels, worn soles, etc. But you can follow our tips to limit this wear and tear.
To protect your Sézane shoes, the first step is to avoid wearing them several days in a row. You need to let them breathe, so place them in a dry, airy place away from light.
The second step is to apply the right products to protect your shoes.
- For your leather shoes, it is advisable to regularly apply a special leather care cream and polish them to maintain the color’s shine.
- For your suede shoes, it is recommended to waterproof them and use a special suede brush for regular cleaning.
A cobbler for your Sézane shoes
At Galoche et Patin, we can take care of your Sézane shoes, whether they are boots, ankle boots, pumps, sandals, or sneakers.
Several repairs are possible: heel wrap replacement, full resoling, heel tip replacement, etc.
Heel tip replacement involves changing the last layer of your heel. As soon as it starts to get damaged, it must be replaced, otherwise your heel will be in direct contact with the ground.
It is also possible to widen your shoes if they are too narrow or uncomfortable. We place them on a machine that will stretch the leather with a softener for 24 to 48 hours.
Regarding sole wear, we recommend adding protective soles to your shoes to protect the sole and prevent premature wear.
At Galoche et Patin, we pamper your shoes with our expertise and our wide range of services.
