Your resoling partner for climbing gyms and clubs

Climbing shoes wear out fast, and a gym sees a lot of them. Galoche & Patin resoles these pairs in volume from its Paris workshop, for gyms, clubs and shops all over France.

You organise the collection at your gym, we handle the pairs in batches and send them back to you. Your climbers get back shoes that grip, without having to look for a cobbler.

What we do on a climbing shoe

Resoling

We replace the worn rubber with new rubber, chosen for how the shoe is used: softer for grip in the gym, harder for durability. It is the most requested job, and the one that decides how the shoe feels underfoot.

Toe rebuild

When the toe has a hole or is badly worn, rubber alone is not enough: the toe is rebuilt before resoling. Without this step, the shoe loses its shape and the repair does not hold.

Rand and stitching

The rand and the stitching can be repaired too. This is often what lets a pair that is still good last another season instead of being thrown away.

Assessment and sorting

Not every pair can be repaired, and it is better to know before paying. We sort on arrival and tell you what goes for repair, what is not worth it, and why.

How it works with your gym

Collection

You gather the pairs at your gym. Depending on how you work, they are shipped to us or picked up, and your front desk becomes the drop-off and collection point for your climbers.

Schedule

We agree on a pickup schedule that suits your footfall, rather than handling pairs one by one. That is what keeps turnaround times realistic on both sides.

Tracking

Each batch is identified on arrival and tracked until it is returned, so that every pair finds its climber again. It is the invisible part of the service, and the one that decides whether your members will use it again.

Billing

We bill the gym per batch, or each climber individually if you prefer to stay out of the payment. Both work; it depends on how you want to present the service.

Every pair is tracked

A pair is identified on arrival, tracked during the repair, and goes back to the climber who left it.

Why use a specialist workshop

A cobbler can resole a climbing shoe. A workshop that handles them all year round can guarantee three things a single artisan struggles to: a stock of rubbers in several hardnesses, a pace that does not depend on one pair of hands, and an inspection before return.

That is the difference between helping out one climber and keeping a commitment to a whole gym.

Do your climbers want to have their own pair repaired? Send them to our climbing shoe resoling page, which explains the rubbers and turnaround times in detail.

Frequently asked questions from gyms and clubs

What is the minimum number of pairs?

There is no set minimum. What matters is regularity: a small but repeated collection is easier to organise than a single very large shipment.

They depend on volume and season. We set them together when we agree on the schedule, and we let you know if a busy period makes them longer.

Both are possible. The gym can be billed per batch, or each climber individually if you prefer not to handle payment.

We tell you before doing any work. It is returned to you with no repair charge, along with the reason.

Yes. Pairs are handled in Paris, then sent back anywhere in France.

Several hardnesses, chosen for how your climbers use their shoes. The technical details are on our resoling page.
