The History of Heschung
Heschung is a French company founded in 1934 by Eugène Heschung. The company manufactures and sells leather shoes.
Eugène Heschung, initially a worker, began manufacturing leather shoes in 1934. To do this, he used the Norwegian welt or the Goodyear welt. This expertise allowed him to create the Brodequins, timeless models of the house.
Since its creation, each Heschung generation has led the company.
In 1968, Eugène Heschung’s son – Robert – took over the company and decided to launch ski boots. It was a real success.
The use of the Norwegian welt in the design of ski boots made them sufficiently waterproof for practicing the sport. Following this, Heschung became the official supplier to the French ski team.
Today, the adventure continues with Romain, who keeps this unique expertise alive and reinterprets the brand’s timeless models.
How to care for your shoes?
To prevent them from wearing out too quickly, here are several tips to adopt.
Do you love your shoe model so much that you wear them every day? That’s a bad habit. We advise you to alternate your pairs of shoes as much as possible.
Let them rest in a well-ventilated place, preferably away from light. Use raw wooden shoe trees to maintain the shape of your shoes and prevent humidity.
Our second tip is to use appropriate products to care for your shoes. If they are made of smooth leather and need regular nourishment and cleaning, Saphir’s universal milk is perfect!
For suede leather models, use a specially adapted brush to remove dust and small dirt particles from your shoes. Also apply a waterproofing spray several times a year to protect them from external aggressions.
